[Brief history]
Melomakarona means "Honey-Blessed" cookies! They are also called "Finikia" (Phoenician) cookies. Originating in Minor Asia, they are a widely popular dessert that was adopted by Greeks, Turks, and Armenians, as a Christmas offering to their guests.
