Acquisition Quest — Crossing the Boundary

Light or use your relic beforehand.
Return to The )M( Cave before the moon cycle ends.
Present your token of exchange (receipt) at The )M( Cave Reliquary Counter and tell a Flamebearer the name of the boundary you crossed.
Ask the Flamebearer for the official Flame Seal to mark your Questlog entry as complete.
The Flame Path: Quest 2
Lore Quest — Why the Canopy?
Somewhere within the Hall of Flame, a small white canopy symbol has been placed.
Find it.
In your Questlog, answer:
Why was a great shade canopy carried during the Skira procession?
Hint: Protection and exposure must coexist.
Request the official Flame Seal to mark your Questlog entry as complete.
As the Rite Begins…
Summer does not ask gently.
It exposes.
During Skira, Athenians walked in procession beneath a sacred canopy as they transitioned into the agricultural intensity of summer. It symbolized movement into brightness while retaining balance.
Light alone can scorch.
Shade alone can weaken.
Now the days stretch long. The air thickens. Energy rises.
This moon asks:
Where must you step forward?
What responsibility waits for you?
How will you carry protection while standing in full light?
Walk deliberately.
Stand fully.
Balance flame and sun.
This observance is open throughout the month.
Cross wisely.

The purpose of these observances is to honor and acknowledge the historical traditions that helped shape philosophical, seasonal, and mythological frameworks of the ancient Mediterranean world — not to replicate or appropriate them.
“Walk into the sun, but carry your shade.”
Transition. Responsibility. Sacred boundary crossing.
Skira marked the turning into summer. A procession moved from Athens to the sanctuary at Skiron beneath a great white canopy, symbolizing both protection and exposure.
The heat arrives.
The work intensifies.
Light reveals what spring only began.
This moon honors the crossing from promise into effort.
