The 13 Lunar Rites of The )M( Cave are not recreations of ancient religious ceremonies.

They are structured observances designed for educational reflection and symbolic alignment with historical festivals and mystery traditions of ancient Greece.

These rites do not claim to replicate sacred initiations, temple practices, or restricted mysteries. Many of the original rites were oath-bound, culturally specific, and historically contextual.

Our purpose is observance — not imitation.
Study — not appropriation.
Honor — not reenactment.

Each moon acknowledges the seasonal, philosophical, and mythic frameworks that shaped the foundations of Western civilization and the spiritual imagination of the ancient world.

The )M( Cave approaches these traditions with respect for their historical depth and cultural origins.
